John WHITE (c.1605 - 1683/4) He embarked for New England aboard the ship "Lyon" which set sail on 22 June 1632, and arrived at Boston on 16 September 1632. He resided first at Cambridge; being made freeman on 4 March 1633. He removed to Hartford, Conn. about June, 1636. He was one of the original proprietors of the settlement. He removed to Hadley, Mass. upon the founding of that settle- ment. He was a Representative to the General Court for that town in 1664 and 1669. He owned a share of the mill in Hadley.
