Andrew Ward was born in England in about 1597. He immigrated to New England possibly with the Winthrop party in 1630. His wife was named Hester Sherman and together they had nine children. He settled first in Watertown, Mass., and later removed to Wethersfield, Conn. in about 1634. In 1640 he moved again to Rippowams, later called Stamford. His final move was made in about 1651 to Fairfield, Conn. where he died in about 1666.
This book details the genealogy of his descendants to the eleventh generation. Allied families with data included in this volume are: Gifford, Cornwall, Currey, Moore, Ferris, Gildersleeve, and Hill. Biographies of the following individuals are also included: Colonel Andrew Ward, General Andrew Ward, Benjamin Ward, Daniel Currey, John Currey, and Josiah Seymour Currey.
