Philip THOMAS (bet.1630/1650 - 1702/3)

He arrived in Virginia sometime before 1635, when William Hunt received a
grant of 800 acres for transporting a group of 16 persons into the colony.
Along with Philip Thomas were Evan and Sarah Thomas. Their relationship
was not explained. His name was associated with the West family on several
extant documents. He made his will on 3 Nov 1702 and it was probated on
9 Feb 1703. He gave one shilling to daughter Mary, and the same to son
William. All the rest of his estate he bequeated to son, John, who was
executor. Witnesses were Margaret and Judy Edwards, who were step daughters
of William Boddie.
