This document photo submitted by Linda Russell DeWitt who stated:
"Samuel was the cousin of my great-grandfather and Private S. C. Russell was his brother, or my uncle. I believe that Ephraim Bonham was also a cousin to all of them. When Sam died, it ended his family line and he has no descendents to speak for him.

"I have not checked to see if Bonham is listed in the 45th on your site or not, but I know that Stephen, (S C) Russell, Philip Francis (Frank) Russell and my great grandfather James Fleming Russell are listed in your web site. Frank's name is not quite correct, but he is there.

"Phillip Francis, (Frank) Russell was killed in 1864 and that is not listed on your web site either. I don't have an official document of his death, but I can send you a picture of his grave marker if that would help. It is a CSA marker. Since he gave his life, I would like to see that documented on this site. I really like the site, but I feel that everything which can be documented should be there.

"I appreciate your willingness to fix it. Please let me know what else you might need to document this. I will be glad to send you more information on birth date, etc. for Sam if you have enough info to enter it.  I do have some letters written before his death to inform his mother that he was gravely ill with diphtheria. I also have several letters written home from the war by several of our family if you are interested."

Thank you again for your help.
