Christopher ROBINSON, Sr. (bet.1626/1630 - bef.Aug 1663)

He arrived at the Virginia Colony in the year 1642; sponsored by John
Ewens, Jr. of Charles City County. On 23 February 1652, he received 600
acres with John Sturdevant, for the transportation of 12 persons. This
land was located "upon the heads of the Eastern run of Swift Creek, known
by the name of Mr. Hatcher's run, toward the Ashen Swamp". There are only
three other mentions of his name in extant documents. Of the three known,
the first is his son's receipt to his step-father for his portion of his
father's estate dated 1681; the second, is the will of his wife, Marie
(_____) Robinson, undated, unwitnessed, and unsigned. Also, the document
signed by Francis Burwell, wherein he stated he was the administrator of
the will of Christopher Robinson, and that he married the widow.

He is not the same as the more notable Christopher ROBINSON (b. 1645) of
"Hewick Plantation", who married Agatha OBERT.
