Thomas BENNETT (1580 - bef.1641) He arrived at the Virginia Colony aboard the ship "Neptune" in August 1618. By 1625 he resided at Basse's Choice on the south side of the James River near Lawne's Creek in Isle of Wight County. He was a member of the the House of Burgesses in 1632 representing Mulberry Island which is in Warwick County. The records of the latter county were destroyed during the Civil War so there is very little information about him. He may have had a first wife who was the actual mother of his son, Richard.
